De Blasio sings the blues after losing Mets bet

Mr.de Blasio’s NYPD commissioner, Bill Bratton, disbanded the unit-though in September the mayor agreed to have the city take part in the Department of Justice’s “Countering Violent Extremism” program monitoring online interactions, to the chagrin of a few Muslim leaders and civil libertarians.

After Friday’s terror attacks in Paris, Mayor Bill de Blasio on Saturday attended a vigil with the French consul general at Washington square.

“I can tell you that NYPD is on very high alert and in constant with the FBI and other federal agencies and with our counterparts in France”.

The upside of being mayor of a city represented in the World Series is experiencing the atmosphere and sharing in the joy of that team’s fan base.

The French Consulate, the mission to the United Nations and “other sites related to France” were being guarded by heavily armed police in the aftermath of mass killings that rocked Paris, authorities said.

Honestly, the way de Blasio is performing, I’d leave him out there for another song. “We believe this…is isolated to Paris”.

CT State Police have taken extra security measures on Metro-North Railroad trains and at Bradley global Airport near Hartford. “But there is no specific threat against us, thank God”, he said.

Representatives of the county police forces in both Suffolk and Nassau said they were monitoring developments with the Paris attacks and would deploy officers as necessary.

MA police put more patrols in place near the State House in Boston, but they are not aware of any threats at this time either.

“We haven’t let our guard down”, Mr. McNulty said. We grieve deeply for the people of Paris, as New Yorkers who have experienced the same pain and loss firsthand in an attempted assault on our values of liberty and equality.

“To call it un-American is an understatement”, de Blasio said in an interview with WNYC’s Brian Lehrer.
