Deadly fighting rages on in Syria ahead of US-Russia brokered truce
“If we have a credible line of cessation of hostilities, then we can look to moderate groups in the opposition to disassociate themselves from extremists”. They will announce they are against they are opposed to the U.S.

Syrian rebel factions will issue a statement welcoming the U.S.
These rebel outfits are now grouped around Aleppo and trying to fend off regime forces for control of a city that is considered pivotal for the balance of the Syrian war.
In Aleppo, Syria’s largest city, at least 46 civilians, including nine children, were reportedly killed.
Fighting showed no sign of abating over the weekend.
But hours later more than 100 people were reported to have been killed in a series of bombing raids and air strikes on rebel-held parts of Aleppo province in the north of the country, and in Idlib in the north-west.
“The fact that the Syrian government is indirectly taking part in this deal because Russian Federation is being asked to pressure it-this is indirect acknowledgement that this factor (Assad’s presence) exists and there is nothing to do about it”, Lukyanov said.
The United States warned on Saturday of “dire consequences” for any rebel group that cooperated with Jabhat Fateh al-Sham.
Russian Federation wants to see Syria’s Assad stay in power, while moderate opposition forces and Turkey insist no transition deal can allow him to retain power for any period of time.
The ministry said it was pleased with the deal to reach a ceasefire in Syria. “Make no mistake about it”.
The opposition’s letter to the United States also complains of double standards.
According to the details spelled out in Geneva, after seven consecutive days of calm and the delivery of humanitarian aid, the United States and Russian Federation will start working on a plan to carry out coordinated air attacks against terrorist groups.
Bloomberg reports that Ahrar al-Sham said on Sunday it would not respect the ceasefire.
Leaders of the political opposition also said that they hadn’t received details of the cease-fire’s implementation, the geographical areas it covers and how Moscow and Damascus would be held accountable for any violations.
Abdah said it was unclear if both sides would stick to the agreement.
“If Aleppo is at peace, we believe that the prospects for a diplomatic solution will brighten”, he said.
SANA says no civilians were present in the suburb, once home to almost a quarter million people, after the last of them were evacuated as part of the surrender agreement. By Sunday evening, many groups had not announced a decision. It is not clear how these governments intend to distinguish between Jabhat Fatah al-Sham and other allied rebel factions or how they will be able to attack the al-Qaida linked militants without hitting other rebels as well.
The arrangement hinges on Moscow pressuring Assad’s government to halt all offensive operations against Syria’s armed opposition and civilian areas.
Bogdanov told the state-owned RIA Novosti news agency that he expects talks between the Syrian government and opposition groups to resume in early October, adding that Staffan de Mistura, the United Nations envoy to Syria, would name the date.
Because of its links to other Syrian rebels, Syria Conquest Front is seen as much more hard to uproot.
Key rebel backer Turkey said it was essential that the fighting stop and aid start flowing from day one of the ceasefire.

“If the rebel groups don’t unite and some of them decide to break ties with Syria Conquest Front and submit to the worldwide community, this will lead to internal fighting amongst the rebel factions”, Mr. Khalaf said.
