Deadpool Bachelor-Baiting TV Spot With New Footage

As blatant as they literally admitted the tie-in was, it was an excuse to show their other way of marketing Deadpool as something other than the usual superhero movie.

Deadpool arrives in a little over a month, and it has an unusual date staked out for a superhero movie.

Tim Miller is directing the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

It was first developed under New Line Cinema but eventually went south in 2005; giving 20th Century Fox a chance to snag the opportunity and develop it.

Plans for a Deadpool solo film came shortly after the character debuted in 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”.

There’s not much new footage from the actual movie here, although we do see Morena Baccarin take a shot at Gina Carano.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, “Deadpool” features Ryan Reynolds as a disfigured and unstable mercenary, Wade Wilson, who was subjected to an experiment that had hoped to cure his cancer by receiving a regenerative healing factor, but instead ended in a disastrous result. Armed with new abilities and a new identity, Wilson hunts down the man who almost destroyed his life.
