Deadpool refuses to host (despite fan petitions) with Kanye West spoof

After a two-week break, Saturday Night Live returns March 5th with host Jonah Hill (and not Deadpool) as well as musical guest Future.

Such humor and willingness to take risks are only examples of how the Deadpool movie has blown past box office expectations and continues its blockbuster trajectory during what’s normally an off-season for movies. In a new video on Saturday, Reynolds explained to fans why Deadpool wouldn’t be able to present SNL by mimicking leaked audio which reportedly featured the Bound 2 rapper.

“Let’s face it SNL is getting a bit stale, this would be flawless for the adult audience, and I think ratings would go through the roof”.

You can not accuse Ryan Reynolds of not throwing his heart and soul into the character of Deadpool.

“Depending on the musical guest, how awesome would it be to have some Deadpool interpretive dancing while the musical guest was playing?”

The clip is a response to the Change.org petition to have Reynolds host the show in character, which has collected more than 69,000 signatures. But Reynolds is the kind of star who could really host at anytime and still make it a fun episode. Probably not. Even though SNL has been hosted by fictional characters before, including Paul Reubens as Pee Wee Herman and Don Novello as Father Guido Sarducci, the character of Deadpool still poses some logistical problems.

“Deadpool” pulled in another million this weekend, bringing it to $235 million and counting in domestic sales. “Like him as Deadpool in every skit, just with a wig and costume on over his normal costume”, one supporter writes.

It’s not yet known whether or not the studio and producers agree with this viewpoint, but we shall soon see.

Wouldn't this ball of sensual energy and heroism be perfect for SNL
