A young girl from California and her dog share an incredible bond, and now they’re sharing their story with the world.
“It seems like he’s picking it up”, Jamie Holeman, community relations associate at Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA, told CBS News.
The video from the Parasadena Humane Society and SPCA narrates the story of Julia and Walter. At last check, it had received more than 290,000 views in just a week.
Walter is rewarded for listening to Julia’s commands using sign language.
Walter was just six weeks old when he was found abandoned with the rest of his litter last December, ABC News reports.
Once the resilient pup was old enough to be put up for adoption, the shelter posted a photo of Walter to its Facebook page, Holeman said.
The dog is named Walter.
“She’s learned a whole other kind of love”, Julia’s mother said in the video.
“It’s really wonderful to see how this video is affecting and touching people in different ways”, Holeman said.
