The Hammers may have fallen short against the likes of Leicester City and Bournemouth at home – but in triumphantly beating each of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City on the road – the West Ham faithful certainly have reason to be excited this term.

James Tomkins and Carl Jenkinson have filled the right-back position so far this year, but there is every chance that Byram will take on that responsibility from now on. Enner Valencia will most likely lead the line for The Hammers.
West Ham play Manchester City at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday 23 January, with kick-off taking place at 5.30pm.
As for City, Yaya Toure was rested for the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace last time out, but the Ivorian midfielder is expected to return for the clash along with Raheem Sterling.
Vincent Kompany (calf) and Samir Nasri (hamstring) remain long-term absentees.
Sixth-placed West Ham handed City their first defeat of the Premier League campaign in September when the Londoners grabbed a surprise 2-1 win in Manchester. The three points are crucial for both, but they may have to settle for a share of the spoils.
