Dean Ambrose Might Have to Lose His Title at WWE Battleground
The following matches are advertised for the WWE Battleground event, which will be held on July 24 in Washington, D.C.at Verizon Center. That will be reserved for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, which will nearly certainly include at least two of the former members of The Shield.

The match at WWE Battleground is still slated to be the Shield Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship. One interesting thing to note is that Rollins (1-2) is the only one with a victory, and it was a forfeit victory after Ambrose (0-1) had been ejected from the building. In 2014, Reigns lost his chance to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

In their quest to “Make Darren Young Great Again”, WWE have set him up to fail with an incongruous, immediate march to the Intercontinental title. Dean, who didn’t have a match at all, was the WWE United States Champion at the time.
All of this will conclude at “Battleground”, and according to a rumor, there was a plan for Ambrose to drop the title, but that could have been altered since the potential outcome was made before Roman Reigns’ 30-day suspension.
Just as Lesnar’s match is guaranteed to be one of SummerSlam’s “main events”, so is whatever match John Cena is in.
WWE Battleground hasn’t been very good to Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins in the past.
The decision to have Rollins win the title from Reigns and then Ambrose cash in to win the title at Money in the Bank was reportedly a last minute change. In fact, he’ll defend it against Seth Rollins just six days before the PPV, and only one day before the WWE Draft that will determine which brand every WWE superstar will be headed to after Battleground is over.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, the WWE now has the SummerSlam match for the WWE Championship slated as Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins, this means they plan to move the title from Ambrose. Battleground will be available to stream on-demand immediately via the WWE Network.
