“Our people respect the American people”, Rouhani added. The Iranian people are not looking for war with any country. It’s understandable that people will demonstrate sensitivity to this issue. The arms embargo will remain in place for five years after implementation, while sanctions on Iran’s ballistic missile program continue for eight years.
