90 people are still in hospital – 48 of them remain in a serious or critical condition; 21 of those injured have been transported to hospitals in Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Israel and Germany. Prime Minister Victor Ponta and his cabinet resigned on November 4 after mass protests.
A North Atlantic Treaty Organisation military aircraft will take over 10 patients to hospitals in Britain, while Romanian Air Force will transport a few of the seriously injured to Norway, Finland and Hungary for further treatment, announced on Sunday the Defence Ministry. An estimated 400 people were inside when fire broke out, prompting a stampede towards the club’s only exit. Guitarists Vlad Telea and Mihai Alexandru were among the 26 people who were killed the day of the fire, while singer Andrei Galut and bassist Alex Pascu were hospitalized for burns and smoke inhalation. The Romanian authorities in the capital were overtaken by the high number of victims, thus sparking controversies referring to how the country doesn’t have enough hospitals, because of the Government’s and Parliament’s corruption.
Hundreds of protesters continue to hold rallies in Bucharest.
Mr Ponta’s resignation has not stemmed the huge protests by Romanians demanding a “profound change” in the way the country is governed. Iohannis, who made no comment to the media, stayed for roughly 20 minutes as many in the crowd booed, while others shouted he should help cleanse the political class, widely seen as corrupt.
The club’s three bosses, detained since Tuesday on manslaughter charges, did not have the authorisation to host concerts, let alone pyrotechnic shows.

Anti-corruption prosecutors say Cristian Popescu Piedone, mayor of the district where Colectiv is located, has been taken into custody.
