Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Jeb Bush and Republicans Are ‘Excusing’ Murders as
President Obama suffered an “embarrassment” with the Democratic National Committee not passing a resolution over the weekend in support of his Iran nuclear deal, CNN panelists said Sunday.

A party spokeswoman and said procedural issues prevented the proposed resolution from being considered. Obama & his White Home team have worked diligently to get sufficient Capitol Hill votes for the decision to pass, amid robust opposition from the Republican-controlled Home & Senate.
Vice President Biden, in fact, spoke with DNC members on a conference call Wednesday to help garner support.
It’s completely inappropriate for the leader of the Democratic party to oppose the President’s deal to secure a peaceful solution to Iranian nuclear escalation.
He added, “If you go to a rural area where guns are part of the culture, to impose laws from Washington that are going to work for New York City or work in a rural area, makes no sense”.
Former U.S. Senator Jim Webb is the only one of the five Democrats who’s announced a 2016 presidential campaign who chose to skip the party’s weekend gathering in Minneapolis.
Wasserman Schultz, who represents a heavily Jewish district in south Florida, has yet to adopt a position on the deal.
As President Obama girds for an upcoming congressional vote aimed at killing his diplomatic agreement with Iran, the numbers are leaning his way. The vast majority of members instead signed an open letter praising the deal, which was quickly circulated after the vote didn’t happen.
As a fallback, the chairman of the Resolution Committee, James Zogby – the well-known Arab lobbyist and head of the Arab American Institute – drafted a letter declaring the DNC’s support for the Iran deal. But progressive activist group CREDO Action, which has been lobbying lawmakers to support Obama with war as the alternative, blamed Wasserman Schultz.
The resolution was halted by none other than the chairperson of the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, normally a strong supporter of Obama’s policies.
