A photo was posted yesterday to Imgur which showed Heath Morrow, a fifth grade teacher, with his skin painted brown, wearing the iconic plastic “Kanye shades” and holding a sign that read “Kanye for Prez 2020”.

The controversial costume references the rapper’s announcement last month that he would make a run for the White House in five years. His wife went as Kim Kardashian.

The photograph was posted with the caption, “Haha a few people thought Heath was really a black man”, according to the website’s report.

An Alabama teacher is making headlines this morning after a photo of him appearing to don blackface as part of a Kanye West Halloween costume surfaced on Reddit.

In Morrow’s letter, publicly viewable on Fox 10, he writes that his intentions were not meant to be malicious or hurtful toward any particular group of people. “I see people for who they are, and my wife and I go out of our way to help anyone we can in my profession as any educator. Again I apologize and this will not happen again”.

In his apology, Morrow said that he decided on his costume “based on celebrities and the political climate today”. I do not want this to reflect on my school or school system based on a poor decision that I made.

The couple are seen leaning against a fireplace mantel with framed photos of several young children and babies behind them.

Nicholas told those gathered that he was sad that Morrow’s action had taken away from the school and that the school board is looking into the actions.

He and his wife, Shannon Morrow, have two sons, according to her now-deleted Facebook page.

One famous example is Julianne Hough, judge of Dancing With the Stars, who were dark makeup as part of a costume of a character from “Orange Is The New Black” in 2013.
