Deceased Thai woman found gagged in South Auckland was a mum
She was 50 year-old Jindarat Prutsiriporn of Auckland.

The woman was tied up and gagged and had thrown herself out of a moving vehicle in a desperate attempt at survival, in Papatoetoe in south Auckland.
Police at the scene in Papatoetoe.
Ms Prutsiriporn was seen jumping from a moving auto in the suburb of Papatoetoe on Tuesday night and died last night.
She suffered a serious head injury – although it was not clear if she had received it in the jump or before – and there was no indication of sexual violence.
Witnesses said her arms, legs and neck were tied, her mouth was gagged and she was bleeding. An autopsy will be carried out on Thursday morning.
Police said there were conflicting reports about whether one or two people were in the auto she fell from and they would be looking for CCTV footage as part of the investigation.
“It is likely we will release the victim’s name this afternoon pending notification of all next-of-kin”, a police statement said.
Police are said to have have ruled the possibility of a domestic incident and are instead investigating organised crime groups, including Asian gangs.
Anyone who knows anything about the incident has been urged to contact police.
The silver sedan the woman is believed to have escaped from is yet to be located, and police are also hunting for the driver.
Rikki Howard said the incident happened right outside her house.
Police released this photo of the woman’s tattoo.

She arrived home at 7.15pm, just minutes after the woman escaped the auto, and said she was terrified to later learn what had happened.
