Aslef has pulled out of this latest action and there were signs that London Underground and its staff were nearing a resolution but it is believed that the action remains on with talks continuing on Monday, August 24.

Four unions are involved in a long running dispute over plans to launch a 24-hour “Night Tube” next month.
As was the case with the first two strikes, the dispute between London Underground and the unions is over annual pay and the Night Tube service, which is scheduled to start on 12 September.
TSSA leader Manuel Cortes said: “The talks have been progressive so far and we hope to continue them into next week in the hope of getting a fair and honourable settlement to both sides”.
Aslef, the union which represents the majority of the Tube drivers, is not taking part in the strikes, so there is a small likelihood London Underground could still run a limited service.
“This will take time but with good will on both sides, there is hope at last that this may be resolved”.
The Union say the role of train Guard is under threat – which they say will have an impact on customer safety.

“All efforts through negotiations to get a sensible offer out of City Cruises have failed and the staff now have no option but to take strike action”.
