Decision to axe Nets coach easy: owner
Kawhi Leonard added 17 points for the Spurs, who play at Detroit on Tuesday before putting their 31-game home winning streak on the line Thursday in a showdown against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After narrowly maintaining their flawless home record, the San Antonio Spurs hit the road trying to establish a season-best overall winning streak when they face one of the NBA’s worst home teams that’s fresh off a coaching dismissal. While it might not be as flashy or headline-grabbing as other systems, it’s incredibly effective.
“It’s consistency”, Aldridge said. “It was just very easy”.
I still believe with some luck our results might have been more promising. About seven minutes after he mentioned needing to turn down opportunities that don’t fit the plan, he said that this would be a “small reset” and, “next season, we’ll be, I hope, [a] championship contender”.
The Brooklyn Nets, on the other hand, once again find themselves in flux. For the Nets, however, it was a more like post-firing valley. Each time the Nets have had a different head coach.
This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. “I’m disappointed to where it didn’t work out to where we didn’t have playoff success and fans weren’t celebrating in the streets of Brooklyn”.
“We have learned a great deal during the past six years and our experiences will guide us for the future”, he said. We’ll have a big amount of money under the cap next season. “As soon as we have our decision it’s better to start earlier than later”. Now he has an interim head coach and an interim GM after letting Lionel Hollins and Billy King go. Sure, their defense is still mostly suspect and the three-point shooting hasn’t entered the 21st century, but was this a Nets team, gulp, worth cheering for?
“Commenting on the situation, I don’t know what was all involved there”.
Derrick Rose scored 23 points in the first of four games in five nights for the Bulls. All that he would admit to is that the NY market can be hard for players, coaches, management and the owner. “(He’s) got great hands, (and) knows how to play”. In fact, they just lost their starting point guard, Jarrett Jack, for the season with a torn ACL. They can accept a role. And while ownership tries to figure out a new route to relevance, only one thing is certain: For all of their sound and fury, the Nets still have a long way to go. The Nets are still looking for a culture to implement.
The implied motivator behind the move, according to owner Mikhail Prokhorov’s released statement, was the Nets wanted to begin a full and complete search for new leadership as quickly as possible.

“He can send me any of his ideas as a friend, but for the time being, it’s not his job for the time being, Mikhail Prokhorov said”. Kupchak hinted that there was a lot of interest in the younger guys on his roster, including players the Lakers are planning to build around.
