Johnson, who declined to run for prime minister, was a major Brexit campaigner. She will spend the day considering the makeup of her own Cabinet. “I am delighted that Theresa May will be the next prime minister”, he said, calling her “strong, competent and more than capable”.
No doubt May is more palatable than Jeremy Corbyn, but this is a rather low bar.
