Deeney rains on Hughes’s Stoke parade
William Hill believes that a 1 – 0 win for Stoke City is the most likely result and is offering odds of 11/2 while Bet365 believes that a 1 – 1 draw is most likely and is offering odds of 11/2.

A resurgent Stoke City will face the stoic Watford at the Britannia Stadium this weekend in what is set to be a close Premier League affair.
Charlie Adam also had a volley he struck from range but once again he didn’t force Gomes into a save, which was the story of the Stoke day as Quique Sanchez Flores’ men headed back south with all three points.
Flores added: “After the first 10 games, we are a quarter of the way through the league and I think it’s okay to collect 13 points”. If Deeney builds on his first top-flight goal, they may well prove plenty more people wrong between now and May.
Almen Abdi wrapped things up in the 69th minute following a mistake by Marc Wilson to spoil Mark Hughes’ 100th game in charge of Stoke, who had gone into the match looking for a fourth straight Premier League victory.
He said: “It’s more about what team’s doing at the moment and we’re pleased with that”. The Potters have put a seemingly slow start to the campaign behind them, and are now beginning to display the potential their team on paper has. If we are not in the bottom three and fighting for the higher positions, it’s ideal.
But the Hornets did get the breakthrough on the cusp of half time as a few clever play down the left flank saw Troy Deeney pick up possession around the corner of the box.
The Hornets’ most recent outing was against Arsenal at home, suffering a 3-0 loss where the Gunners scored three goals in 12 minutes. They are one of two teams without a headed goal along with Norwich City.
While Stoke have hit form after a poor opening to the season, Watford’s bright start has turned slightly sour of late, with Flores’ side now winless in three.
The Potters boss will rule over captain Ryan Shawcross, who has not featured this season due to undergoing spinal surgery in the summer and striker Mame Diouf who been on compassionate leave following the death of his mother. We didn’t concede attempts and we played with a very big personality.
Other than Jurado (hamstring) and Joel Ekstrand (knee), Watford have no injury concerns.

“All of the games in the Premier League are hard and it is important that we play well in front of our own supporters”. We have to mix it up and if you have players to do it why not do it?
