After much speculations, Deepika Padukone may have been finalised for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly ambitious project Padmavati along with Ranveer Singh. Even Deepika’s casting was inadvertently revealed by Shreyas Puranik, the music composer Bhansali has signed on for the project, on Twitter.

After making N number of headlines in different forms of media, Deepika Padukone is back on the track for her next film.
On just 27 June, Deepika had been asked if she was teaming up with her Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani director once again for his magnum opus. The film will begin production in September, with an extended shooting schedule across India.
“Padmavati” is believed to based on Mughal emperor Allauddin Khilji’s obsession for Padmavati, the queen of Chittor.
Ranveer Singh is one of the most charming actors in Bollywood and many girls love him very deeply.
Reportedly, Prakash Kapadia, who had written the script for “Bajirao Mastani” has been roped in for scripting “Padmavati”. Apparently, Nikita Singh the famous author has claimed that Ranveer Singh is married to her! Padmavati – with its historical tale of Allaudin Khilji’s obsession with the Mewar queen Padmini, and her self-immolation – seemed the flawless subject for Bhansali.
