So, the bad reviews that the movie has been receiving from the audiences has raised the alarm bells for Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is gearing up for yet another historical saga- “Padmavati”. The work of erecting the sets for Padmavati is in full swing. The work started a few days ago and it is likely to be completed in another two-three weeks.
The makers of the film had their eyes on Filmcity and wanted to build a lavish set there but due to a packed schedule and no luck with the bookings, they settled on Mehboob studios for the time being. Hence, the venue of shooting was then shifted to Mehboob Studios.
A source tells us, “Sanjay is now being extra careful with his research on Padmavati”.
The flick Padmavati revolves around the obsession of the ruthless ruler Alauddin Khilji for Mewar queen Padmavati, reportedly.
Deepika Padukone is playing the titular character whereas Ranveer Singh will be seen as Alauddin Khilji, her prime nemesis in the film.

There have been numerous media reports about Ranveer’s casting in the film, with some suggesting he is again teaming up with Bhansali, while others claiming the actor had a fallout with the director and opted out of the project.
