Defamation Lawsuit Against 7 Accusers Filed By Comedian, Lawyer
The group of women had filed their initial defamations lawsuit against Cosby after he labelled them liars when they came forward to accuse him of sexual assault.

Cosby just countersued the women, claiming they have made “malicious, opportunistic, false and defamatory accusations of sexual misconduct against him”.
The countersuit says the claims of the women have caused him shame and mortification by their “morally repugnant conduct”.
Mr Cosby’s lawyer Monique Pressley announced the move today, in a statement that accused all seven defendants of the Tamara Green lawsuit of making false accusations with the intention of defaming Cosby and profiting from their allegations. “Although I do not represent the women in that case, I do believe that in general that such a tactic will not deter courageous women from fighting the battle against him”. Cosby is seeking “relief” from federal court, and it has requested the court to halt the defendants to freely “correct” their public statements.
Cosby’s lawsuit was filed the same day that Boston University trustees voted to revoke an honorary degree awarded to him.
Cosby claims the motivation of the women was to torpedo his television return. He has never faced criminal charges and has denied any wrongdoing.
Adding to scores of other revoked honorary degrees, Boston University has joined the chorus in stripping the comic of an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree, which he received in 2014, Time reported.

President Robert Brown reportedly said: “The [Board of Trustees] decision was based on a determination, supported by Mr. Cosby’s sworn deposition testimony, that his treatment of women has brought significant and lasting discredit upon himself and is inconsistent with the University’s mission and values”.
