The LE Niamh has rescued another 125 people in the Mediterranean.
Arriving at the scene off the north east coast of Tripoli at around 8am, its crew deployed two rigid-hull inflatables to help bring aboard the adrift migrants.
The rescued migrants on board received water, food and medical assistance where required.
A strong north westerly wind made sea conditions hard for the rescue.
The migrants are due to be transferred on to an Italian naval boat before being brought to Italy.
3,878 people have now been rescued since the Lé Niamh began operations in the Mediterranean.
