Defense secures Broncos’ 34-20 win over Colts
The 2016 National Football League regular season continues on Sunday, September 18, as the Denver Broncos play host the Indianapolis Colts at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. He took sole possession of ninth place on the NFL’s career sack list, ahead of Jared Allen (136) and Julius Peppers (136).

A mini-rivalry of sorts will be renewed on Sunday when the Colts take on the defending champion Broncos. Their offense was carried by CJ Anderson, who put up 139 total yards with two touchdowns, and the Broncos may again lean on their running back after seeing how both Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick put up over 5 yards per carry in week one.
Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian, who completed 22 of 33 passes for 266 yards, then finished off the 2-point conversion with a throw to Demaryius Thomas.
Andrew had a solid showing in the week one game, despite the loss. Von Miller beat right tackle on a speed rush and forced a fumble on a sack of Luck.
The reigning Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos picked up right where they left off last week by defeating the Carolina Panthers 21-20 in the first game of the National Football League regular season.
Luck’s nemesis this time around is exclusively the Denver defense, which roughed up Cam Newton, earning fines in the process.
Lastly, Henry Anderson-who is slowly but surely recovering from a season-ending torn ACL suffered last season could still be another week or two from returning.
Miller added a sack on the last play as the Broncos (2-0) sent the banged-up Colts limping to their third consecutive 0-2 start.
All three of those games pose challenges of their own but are also very winnable for the Colts. That he picked Siemian because he showed he was ready for the job. The Indy are 0-1, having fallen 39-35 to the tough hands of the Lions in Week 1.
Colts: CB Antonio Cromartie (shoulder) got hurt when he smacked into Emmanuel Sanders on the game’s second snap, but returned in the second quarter.

In the fourth quarter, right guard Denzelle Good went out with a back injury. The Colts came out of their opener without their top three CBs: Vontae Davis (ankle), Patrick Robinson (concussion) and Darius Butler (ankle), and three of their top four safeties: T.J. Green (ankle), Clayton Geathers (foot) and Winston Guy (ankle). PK Adam Vinatieri has made 29 straight field goals, surpassing Mike Vanderjagt (28) for the third longest streak in Colts history.
