“Many in the media do because they like the ratings aspect of it, and it’s true because it’s wall-to-wall coverage”, Loesch said. “The fact that you can’t stand with everybody in this building and say that, I’m sorry”.
Later another survivor, Cameron Kasky, slammed the spokeswoman while he was questioning Sen.
“Some (tips) we answered by phone, some were out of state, some we went out there”, he said.

During the event Dana Loesch, spokesperson for the NRA, was confronted by the mother of Scott Beigel, a teacher who died in the shooting, who asked why the inalienable rights of her son were not as protected as that of the right to carry weapons.
Someone in the crowd then shouted, “If they live to do it”. “The influence comes from the millions of people that agree with the agenda, the millions of Americans that support the NRA”. She criticized “flawed” background check systems, though the NRA on its website states that it opposes expanding those systems. “Do I support banning weapons that fire off 150 rounds in seven or eight minutes, weapons that are weapons of war, that serve no objective other than killing the maximum number of people they can, you bet I am!”
“Many in legacy media love mass shootings. Maybe years down the road”, he said.
