Defiant New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. plans to appeal fine
At least one incident of Beckham Jr. hurling a haymaker was caught on video. Amazingly enough, he has done so relatively criticism free for the majority of his short career.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. says he will appeal the fine he received for his actions in the Giants’ 24-10 win over the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday.
OBJ makes the impossible happen.
“I get punched every single game”, Beckham continued. He likes to throw cheap shots here and there and gets away with it. I guess it’s his thing. His full comments are posted on the team website. According to Gilmore, Beckham hates physical corners, and will constantly complain when defenders don’t just let him catch the ball. The two Giants receivers were targeted 18 times in the game by Eli Manning. Unsurprisingly, this is a narrative that the Giants and Beckham’s camp have largely hidden from their widespread fan base.
“For a Bills team who I think is one of the best defenses in the league, could be one of the best teams in the league, just to hear remarks and stuff like that, it’s kind of confusing, it kind of messes with my idea of their identity”, Beckham said.
New York is now 2-2 and tied for first place in the NFC East. The Giants started the campaign with a pair of defeats but have rallied to beat both the Washington Redskins and Bills, putting them right back in the mix. Much of that credit has to go to the antagonism of Beckham.
“Controlling my emotions is not really any of my concern”, Beckham said.
Beckham, 22, said he stopped by Coughlin’s office to chat early Wednesday morning after visiting with general manager Jerry Reese, whom Beckham said told him: “Just keep doing your job, we love everything you do”.
This footage puts the NFL in a spotlight they’d like to avoid on the heels of a questionable Monday Night Football non-call on an illegal bat out of the end zone that affected the outcome of the game.

To his credit, the 22-year-old Beckham admitted that it’s a struggle to walk the line of being competitive while being a good sport. “Anybody can be tough when they’re hiding behind their whole team”.
