He is urging all people to be more tolerant, instead of turning to divisive and unwieldy legislation.

“Carly is brilliant and capable and, yet, she experienced the hard-scrabble world of being a woman professional in a business world that extracts a price”, Cruz said Wednesday.

Donald Trump is giving Republican power brokers a warning – he’ll beat Hillary Clinton with or without them. “I think where the discrepency is you have the Trump campaign counting unbound delegates, but by the rules, in order to be the presumptive nominee, you have to have 1237 bound delegates”, said Lindsay Walters, spokesperson for the Republican National Committee. Now with that being said, would I win, can I win without it?

Trump said this week that he had met the governor and asked for his backing.

“I’m going to get up and speak to (the state party’s slate) actually”, Cuccinelli, the state’s former attorney general, told CNN.

Wilson’s announcement Saturday at the Republican Party convention in Burlingame, California, is a key pickup for the Texas senator.

Hundreds of demonstrators ringed the hotel where the Republican front-runner was scheduled to address attendees.

Protesters surrounded the entrance to the hotel venue in Burlingame forcing the billionaire businessman to enter through a rear entrance from a nearby freeway. “It’s a little bit like a spoiled child, ‘I don’t care mom, I’m staying here, ‘” Trump joked.

He has spent about $1 million on ads over IN airwaves, while Cruz’s campaign, pro-Cruz super PACs and anti-Trump groups have combined for about $6.4 million, according to data from Kantar Media’s Campaign Media Analysis Group.

Cruz won backing from Indiana’s governor on Friday ahead of the state’s primary, where the Texan is fighting a rearguard battle to damage Trump’s chances of winning the nomination.

To date, Cruz has secured 566 delegates of the 1,237 needed for the GOP nomination, per RealClearPolitics. There are three automatic delegates, including state party Chairman Robert Graham. Ted Cruz got two. But the prospect of Donald Trump clinching the nomination in the Golden State has scrambled the party’s political fault lines in advance of its pivotal June primary, forging unexpected alliances that blur those longstanding divisions. Agents then escorted Trump up a grassy hill and into the back entrance of the hotel, away from the protesters, Politico reported.

The diverse crowd is otherwise carrying signs and banners at the event near San Francisco International Airport. As confrontations intensified between Trump supporters and protestors, the front-runner’s motorcade was forced to make a U-turn and walk on-foot to a backdoor.

In an Associated Press-GfK poll conducted in December 2015, Republican voters were more likely to say they had a favorable than an unfavorable view of Fiorina by a 47 percent to 20 percent margin, with 32 percent unable to give a rating.

Trump also returned to questioning the Canadian-born Cruz’s eligibility to serve as president, drawing on comments the Texan’s wife made during a campaign stop Saturday when she referred to her husband as an “immigrant”. “That doesn’t even count in a deck of cards”. His campaign abandoned a rally in Chicago last month after clashes between his supporters and protesters. He retreated to IN more than a week ago, hoping a win could at least help him deny Trump an outright primary victory and lead to a contested convention.
