Dele Alli gets Spurs boss praise

Jordan Ayew had given Villa hope when the substitute’s 79th-minute strike made it 2-1, but Kane wrapped up the win in injury time with his fourth goal in two games.

Harry Kane has warned Arsenal that Tottenham are “full of confidence” and “know” they can win Sunday’s North London derby at the Emirates Stadium.

The 18-year-old is touted as one of Tottenham’s brightest young prospects, and having come up through the ranks at White Hart Lane, he has now had his first taste of Premier League football.

And Kane believes that their improving team is now capable of overcoming their rivals.

“Anderlecht [on Thursday] is important for us so we’ve got to stay focused on that for now, but of course, everyone’s excited for the North London derby”.

“We will learn a lot from this game, we must learn a lot and we have to play better against Tottenham”, said the Germany global. “Our start is good but that’s nothing”.

Mauricio Pochettino told Dele Alli to “keep his feet on the grass” after the Tottenham midfielder shone against Aston Villa.

The ESPN FC crew debate whether or not Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four of the English Premier League.

Onomah, who has already made senior appearances for Spurs in the FA Cup and the Europa League, ticked off another milestone in his fledgling career when he replaced the impressive Dele Alli with a minute left.

He is fearless because he is young but he is clever enough to realise he has a role for the team and, although he always looks to get forward, he does it at the right time and does not just charge around.

“He’s a great player and a great lad as well”, Kane said.

“It was a very good game but in football, it’s never easy, never done”.

“We’re delighted for him, he’s come in this season and settled in straight away”.

Spurs usually buy players instead. I have heard he is a lovely lad who is easy to deal with and wants to keep learning, which is only going to help him continue to progress.

“We have discussions now and then”. But when you play Monday against a very motivated team like Aston Villa, and you run and suffer a lot, it is one day less to recovery and you are late to prepare.
