Delhi based girl Jasleen Kaur harassed outside Police Station in Tilak Nagar

In yet another case of sexual harassment on the streets of New Delhi, a girl has alleged that a young man driving a motorbike passed lewd comments on her at a busy traffic intersection and, when confronted, even dared her to “do whatever she can”.

The woman said, “I was at the Tilak Nagar around 8:30 PM on Sunday and this person was crossing the signal and I was right in front of his vehicle and was about to get hurt”.

She clicked a picture of him as he was on his motorcycle and told him that she will file a complaint against him. “Complaint karke dikha, fir dekhiyo kya karta hun main (Do whatever you want, complain against me and then wait and watch what I will do)”. In yet another incident of eve-teasing in Tilak Nagar, a DU Student posted picture of eve-teasers on Facebook after which the post has gone viral.

“Jo kar sakti hai kar le”.

But as Kaur puts it, it wasn’t just his obscene comments but also his sheer audacity and the inaction of the people around her that spurred her to share her story and shame the offender.

When the girl, Jasleen Kaur, raised an objection and threatened to lodge a complaint against, the boy said – “Jo kar sakti hai kar le”.

“A man made obscene comments on me today at around 8 pm near Aggarwal, Tilak Nagar”.

“The boy was on silver colour Royal Enfield – DL 4S CE 3623”. The victim said, “I am disturbed by the incident as no one came to help me when he was abusing me. I chose to stand up for myself and lodged a complaint in Tilak Nagar police station with his photo and vehicle number”, she said.

The police have registered her complaint.
