Delhi govt’s new City Taxi Scheme’15 to recognize Ola, Uber
Owners argued it was unfair that they spent their life savings on medallions while Uber has paid little and taken away their rides. The city council was pretty close to reducing the number of vehicles for the ride sharing services recently.

Newly-available data from the Taxi and Limousine Commission, analysed by the New York Daily News, show total trips in the the first half of 2015 were down 10% compared to same period past year.
The data also shows that yellow cabs are losing revenue.
“The taxis collected $981 million through June of this year, a 7% drop compared with the $1.06 billion raked in over the same period last year”.
