Delight for Cambridge diver who’s partnered Tom Daley to Olympic bronze
“The way you look at him makes my heart melt, such a attractive couple”, wrote one user underneath the photo – and we can only agree!

The Olympic Council of Ireland said it had no knowledge of the two men arrested and is investigating why tickets allocated to the organisation were found on them.
Sadly, only one year before Tom landed his very first bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics, Robert died from brain cancer at just 40-years-old.
“He’s been shooting unbelievable for the last 14 months”.
Daley has another long wait to deal with now, as the 10m individual event doesn’t take place until the end of next week. He has just been phenomenal.
The medallist will soon be back to reality, however, as he is likely to return to the United Kingdom in the next few days to help look after the family farm. “When I was little, I always used to sit up in the balcony after my training had finished to watch him and I thought he was wonderful”, he says. I’ve not told him the truth the last few days – we’ve been cutting corn.
“I’ve taken the pressure off myself now”. “I wanted to be as good as him one day”.
“He is also very committed to eating well and his diet, he has never drunk very much alcohol but previous year he cut out all alcohol in preparation and he is very strict with himself about what sort of food he eats”.
Although these three nations were the ones to be presented with medals there were plenty more gravity-defying leaps made by other teams.
“I don’t think there’s anything more sinister than that”.
With it being one of Team GB’s first medals so far in the tournament, Twitter was alight with excitement. But as Goodfellow’s mum pointed out, the coverage was, shall we say, uneven. It’s given me a taste and now I want to go and get some more. “He doesn’t like the heat so Rio was never the best place for him to perform”.
It was disappointment for Lithuanian Ruta Meilutyte, who shocked the world – not least herself – when she won a stunning gold medal in the 100 metre breaststroke in London at just 15 years of age.
Suzanne Selvester, 44, Tom’s aunt, of West View Drive, Rayleigh, said the whole family is incredibly proud of Tom and his achievements.
The swim was followed minutes later with glory for Carlin.
The women’s rugby sevens team were beaten by Canada 33-10 in the fight for a bronze and swimmer James Guy was also fourth in the men’s 200m freestyle final.

On Monday night, he did win a medal – with Goodfellow.
