Dell has announced a raft of appealing new monitors at CES 2016, with a number of “firsts”.

Dell itself is firmly stating that the new UltraSharp 30 monitor makes for the flawless desktop work companion for serious PC users and we’re inclined to believe them given the above specs and the fact that this particular monitor can charge other devices with some serious kick while also serving as a second display. The monitor is targeted at professionals working in color-critical environments such as graphic arts and photography, the company said.

The UltraSharp 30 offers a whopping native contrast ratio of 400,000:1, supports 4K ultra HD resolution at 3840 x 2160 pixels and offers an unprecedented lightning quick response time of just 0.1 milliseconds. Both can connect wirelessly to Windows-powered laptops and Android smartphones simultaneously through Miracast.

Dell’s UltraSharp InfinityEdge monitors feature, as you would expect, very thin screen bezels.

And in addition to this, the base of the monitor comes with a built-in wireless charging pad that supports both of the current leading wireless charging standards (Qi and PMA), meaning a wide range of devices (such as Google’s Nexus device, pictured below) can be used.

Dell haven’t announced any price specification or a release date for the Indian market as yet but the Monitor will start rolling out in U.S. on March 31st and will retail at $469 and $429 for the Dell 24 Wireless Monitor and the Dell 23 Wireless Monitor, respectively.

But monitors aren’t the only new devices the company is unveiling at CES. The new design uses magnets instead of latches, locks, or alignment pins to more easily transition between different use modes.
