Demand For iPhone 7 Sends Apple Stock Up
Sprint said it is also seeing soaring preorder rates for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which are up more than 375 percent in the first three days over last year’s release of the iPhone 6s models, according to a September 13 announcement by the company.

“It’s like four times bigger than the iPhone 6 for us at the pre-order stage”, T-Mobile CEO John Legere said in a Periscope broadcast on Monday night. The company is reportedly “actively and aggressively” working on this new option. “Since Sprint began accepting pre-orders on September 9, new and existing customers have been placing orders for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at a rate almost four times greater than this time past year”. The carrier led the domestic market in connection growth through the first half of the year, though porting ratios have been a source of debate. Over the first weekend, Apple sold more than 13 million new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus models, breaking the previous year’s record.
