DeMarco Murray was the source or much drama last season in the Eagles locker room.

Kelly is with the 49ers now and Murray’s future with the Eagles was the subject of a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Media on Thursday. During the season, the Dallas Cowboys were rumored to be interested in bringing back Murray although the reports were not confirmed.

In 2015, Murray amassed 702 yards rushing, averaging a career low 3.6 yards per carry – a far cry from his 2014 and 2013 numbers with Dallas.

Leave it to Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant to use this opportunity to lobby Murray to return Dallas via Twitter. Murray, 27, still has four years and more than $15 million in guaranteed money left on the deal he signed with the Eagles in 2015. Earlier this week, he said that he hoped the team would re-sign pass rusher Greg Hardy-they’re not expected to-and now he’s Tweeting about running back DeMarco Murray, asking him to “come on home”. Even if they were to trade Murray, a significant contract-restructuring would be required. It’s my life. I love it, besides my family and my faith, obviously. So I seriously doubt any of the three teams want to pay Murray that kind of money now. “Those are things, I never want to leave off on a note like I did a year ago, so I’m working tremendously harder to try and improve from an individual standpoint and a team standpoint as well”.

But running back Demarco Murray is not among the players that has been sold on this new direction. But that year he rushed for 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns and finished fourth in NFL MVP voting.
