Dembele bags hat-trick as Celtic rout Rangers in Old Firm derby
Old Firm managers Brendan Rodgers and Mark Warburton are confident their respective players will retain their composure amid the intensity of Saturday’s derby at Celtic Park.

“It’s the same scenario as last season in terms of being underdogs, we had analysis with the players and it’s been pointed out by many of them”.
Whilst you may not be sitting in the dugout at Celtic Park this weekend, you have the opportunity to play manager with DraftKings and win some of subsequent cash prizes on offer this weekend.
Amongst those run of results was the Scottish Cup semi-final and final, Warburton’s men outplaying Celtic and eventually beating them on penalties a few days after the Dumbarton win, before a shock 3-2 reverse at the hands of Hibs at Hampden in the final.
“We have a confidence in what the manager wants us to do”, Miller, who has also played for Celtic, said.
Rangers, who beat Celtic on penalties to reach the Scottish Cup final a year ago, have only one player surviving from the last league clash between the sides, skipper Lee Wallace.
The problem with making such statements, is that when things go wrong – like when you’re part of a team that loses 5-1 to your most bitter rivals, play poorly and end up filling in at centre-half – sympathy is in short supply.
The Govan side wobbled with the set-back and when Kiernan gave possession away, midfielder Nir Bitton sent Dembele racing through a massive gap in the Gers rearguard and he turned inside Senderos before knocking it past Wes Foderingham, who not for the first time, found himself unguarded.
“The sending off I can’t defend, it’s a red card but we had a choice to make, ‘do we go for damage limitation or do we look to try and get something out of the game?’ said Warburton, who conceded his side had conceded “poor” goals prior to that”.
Despite finishing 15 points behind Ronny Deila’s Celtic, Aberdeen impressed and pushed them all the way until the split, after that they faltered as the size and strength of Celtic’s squad showed. But we weren’t best mates and speaking every week. And Dembele has justified this faith, playing crucial roles in two of his side’s biggest games this season.
Soon after signing for the Ibrox club in the summer, the Englishman raised eyebrows when he was so dismissive of Brown, claiming that he was “nowhere near his level”.
