Demi Lovato wants to make sure that the center that helped her on the road to sobriety is getting the attention and support it deserves.
Demi Lovato has announced that she’s now the co-owner of the rehab clinic where she was previously treated. Eventually, though, she was able to move past her issues, turning to faith for guidance.
“It sounds ridiculous, but I kind of made a pact with God”, Demi said.
Demi definitely uses her fame for more than just singing.
In a new interview with CBS she says, “I was a nightmare”.
Demi Lovato has always been vocal about her history of mental health struggles, and now she’s giving back to the rehabilitation center that helped her get her life back on track. With the help of the program, she learnt to cope without “some sort of drug or with alcohol”. In 2008, she entered rehab for substance abuse, bulimia, self-harm and bipolar disorder after punching a backup dancer while on tour with the Jonas Brothers. “CAST Centers has played an extremely important role in my life + health”, she wrote.
Indeed, CAST’s Bayer admits to Smith that when he first met the former Disney star-turned-household name, she was “very closed off”.
