Along with the new track, Demi has released a video of herself performing the song in the recording studio. It follows up lead single “Cool for the Summer”, which she performed at the 2015 Video Music Awards with Iggy Azalea.
In the final scene, a cold-blooded fight ensues between the two women until Lovato shows Rodriguez the stranger symbol on her arm.

The 23-year-old recording artist is hopeful that the track will capture the Grammy committee’s attention. “I just want people to see it finally”, she recently told Complex. I just want to be nominated for one. Now that I’m feeling great and I feel confident, I’m proud of the skin that I’m in. “What song are you most excited for??!? http://smarturl.it/dlca1 #CONFIDENT”, Lovato tweeted. The song is featured on her upcoming Confident album, arriving in stores and online on October 16th. We’ve got our copies pre-ordered. The new songs will reflect Lovato’s fearless attitude. “But the ones that ended up making the album are very soulful”, she told Entertainment Weekly. Lovato also said on “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” that “Confident” will feature different types of music, such as rock/pop, “provocative songs”, and “a lot of rhythmic flares”.
