Democratic Debate: Here’s Who Won Social Media
Sanders delivered the most well thought out answer saying, “The reason those words matter is the African-American community knows that on any given day, a few innocent person like Sandra Bland can get into a auto and then three days later she’s going to end up dead in jail, or their kids are going to get shot”, Sanders said.

truthoutLast night, CNN and Facebook hosted the first of six scheduled Democratic primary presidential debates, featuring Hillary Clinton, the long-time frontrunner, Sen. Next up was Clinton, who got over 18,000 new followers.
But perhaps one of the more pertinent questions of the evening was, when it comes to a few of the most pressing issues Black people face today, are the candidates tuned in? Bernie Sanders, an independent and self-proclaimed democratic socialist.
“That is a test for GOP”, he added, questioning who in the party can attract voters in Ohio, Colorado, Virginia and other general election battlegrounds. Who laid out their policy positions the best? His campaign has been political, and not personal, since its onset. And the frustration Sanders expressed in the debate with the amount of attention focused on the emails blunted the prospect that she’ll be challenged on the issue from within her own party. “Lets talk about the real issues facing America”. The candidates on the stage discussed serious issues facing our country, from gun safety to wealth inequality to climate change to family friendly policies like equal pay and paid family leave. “The majority of our country supports background checks, and even the majority of gun owners do”.
