The governor is one of eight “superdelegates” pledged to support the former secretary of state at the July Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. The debate comes just 48 hours after Sanders’ victory over Clinton in the New Hampshire primary by 22 percentage points, a jagged pill made more so because she lost with women, her presumed base of support. Whites make up about 64 percent of the population in SC and 51.5 percent of the population in Nevada. Sanders won among women by 55 percent to 45 percent.
