Democratic Party chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz will not gavel in party’s convention
The Florida congresswoman announced she would step down in response to the leaks after the convention ended on Thursday, but after she was shouted down by supporters of Sen. A second room, also empty, was denied to them once about 50 or so delegates had entered and begun their meeting. The email leaks only further confirmed Sanders’ supporters suspicions.

Throughout the afternoon, the Clinton and Sanders campaigns continue to worry about convention floor disruptions from delegates still upset over the recent Wikileaks emails. “Why should this day be any different?”
The Florida representative said in her resignation announcement that she would stay on as chairwoman throughout the convention, delivering opening and closing remarks – a move that threatened to cause severe disruption to a convention meant to unify the party for the general election.
“We’re exhausted of being put in a corner”, said Gail Gouveia, from MA. “It’s completely understandable that people would be angry”.
Silverman was one of a number of prominent entertainers who backed Sanders in the Democratic primary against Hillary Clinton. Those energetic cheers, however, quickly transformed into loud boos when the self-proclaimed Democratic socialist called on his supporters to elect Clinton and Kaine to the Oval Office.
“I always knew (Schultz) was highly overrated”, Trump said, alleging Clinton distanced herself from the scandal in an act of “disloyalty” against Schultz, who “has been so much for Hillary Clinton”.
The Massachusetts senator is a favorite among liberals, and she’s speaking at the Democrat National Convention on Monday night as the party tries to unite around Hillary Clinton after a divisive primary.
“If New York is in play then every state is in play”, DiNapoli said.

But if Sanders’ supporters believe, as he believes, that a Trump presidency represents a true threat to our nation’s rule of law, civil liberties and security, they will do just that.
