Democratic, Republican strategists review 6th Democratic debate and reset the presidential field

If you’re Hillary Clinton, the answer to the above question is: Very.

“In her book and in this last debate, [Clinton] talked about getting the approval or the support or the mentoring of Henry Kissinger”, Sanders said of Clinton’s relationship with Kissinger.

Sanders retorted that this was a “low blow”, saying he’s worked with the president for seven years (Obama recently hosted him in a private Oval Office meeting) and that, together, Democrats have “made enormous progress”.

Presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton responded to a question posed online by a college student from New Freedom. And as with many things, the true meaning is in the eye of the beholder.

“Do senators have the right to disagree with the president?”

In the spring and summer of 2011, as Obama was gearing up for reelection, Sanders wondered to the media about how it might be good for someone to challenge Obama to push the president to the left. “And she is at her weakest when she has to explain herself”.

“I hope that other women feel the right to choose their candidate based on themselves and their families – that they can be independent-minded and they don’t feel owned by a particular political party, because that is really insulting”, Kleefisch said. I’ve been asked whether I am going to do that.

So to the dignified and estimable PBS debate moderators: I thank you.

“You know, before it was called Obamacare, it was called Hillarycare”, Clinton said. “I was not that candidate”. Clinton doubted the feasibility of Sanders’ proposals. Is Obama doing everything I want? It allows Wall Street and billionaires to pour huge sums of money into the political process to elect the candidates of their choice.

“He wrote a forward for a book that basically argued voters should have buyers’ remorse when it comes to President Obama’s leadership and legacy …”

Though the ad does not directly mention Sanders, it is aimed at drawing a contrast with him and propping up Clinton as more qualified. That is the only way real change will happen.

In recent days, Sanders has met with Al Sharpton in Harlem and touted an endorsement from songwriter Harry Belafonte.

Meanwhile, outside Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where the debate was held, hundreds of demonstrators, many allied with the Fight For 15 movement, converged. It’s not a criticism of Barack Obama. So take it out on me.

Clinton castigates Sanders as too critical of Obama. That isn’t something any blurb author should take lightly. “We do not have to have massive levels of income and wealth inequality”, said Sanders. “We need a president who can do all parts of the job on behalf of all Americans”, she added, according to the Twin Cities Pioneer Press. Her biting comments followed an interview in which Sanders suggested Obama hadn’t succeeded in closing the gap between Congress and the American people, something Obama himself has acknowledged. “I’m asking people to support me because I think I’m the most qualified, experienced and ready person to be the president and the commander in chief”.

With an eye to forthcoming contests in Nevada and SC, both used their opening statements to appeal to minority voters, who will play a far more significant role in those states than they did in Iowa and New Hampshire.
