Democrats bet Clinton coattails will boost bid for NY Senate

In an August 17 speech in Cleveland, the Democratic presidential nominee said, “I am the only candidate who ran in either the Democratic or the Republican primary who said from the very beginning (that) I will not raise taxes on the middle class”.

Clinton’s trip to Cleveland extends a tour she began after the Democratic convention in Philadelphia through the Rust Belt when she attacked Trump’s plans while highlighting the investments she wants to make.

TRUMP: He would cut the top income tax bracket to 33 percent from its current level of 39.6 percent.

That is obviously the case, here and elsewhere; interestingly, as Nate Cohn wrote last week, the redder the state, the more visibly Trump underperforms.

As Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said, “The scary thing for Republicans in the Virginia and Colorado numbers is that they show a possible Hillary Clinton landslide in states that only eight years ago leaned GOP and before that had been GOP strongholds”.

She issued a new statement last night saying: “As Secretary Clinton’s long time physician, I released a medical statement during the campaign indicating that she is in excellent health”. He accused Democrat Hillary Clinton of bigotry and said she panders to and talks down to communities of color. Trump has also received criticisms from his party, as well as from Democrats earlier this month because of his word war with the parents of a Muslim-American soldier killed in Iraq.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said “the shake-up has strengthened the Trump campaign. You know it and I know it and guess what, she knows it”.

But among the 880 investor-voters polled, confidence in Trump’s ability to boost the value of their investments has fallen significantly.

Mook says: “Trump’s own views and the Republican platform itself have notably backed Russian views and Russian polices”.

Donald Trump is in danger of sending the Republican Party into a tailspin as fears grow that he will be personally responsible for a landslide defeat in November that will cause huge GOP losses in Congress.

By “peddling the narrative of cops as a racist force in our society”, the guilty parties “share responsibility for the unrest in Milwaukee”, he said, while also accusing Hillary Clinton of supporting the narrative “with a nod”.

Trump suggested Monday that the US would work with its North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies “to halt the spread of radical Islam” and all of the alliance’s actions should be focused around that goal. “I think she sleeps”. Trump said. “If it is true, then people shouldn’t be rioting”. Stephen Bannon. Bannon, top executive of the combative conservative Web site Breitbart News, is new to political companies. “I believe we can win on the trajectory that we’re now on”.

The speech is part of a coordinated effort in key battleground states to argue that Trump’s economic plan would redirect the nation’s dollars from critical investments in infrastructure, education and health care to Wall Street, big companies and the pockets of the richest Americans.
