Democrats go into full mission mode at convention
Of course, Obama devoted some time to Trump too, letting disbelief creep into his voice and his smile as he wondered at his presidency of someone he described as “not really a plans guy, not really a facts guy either”.

Democrats had “put the biggest crack” yet in the glass ceiling for women, she said in a video message to the convention.
Later that night, even former President Bill Clinton couldn’t convince Bernie-or-bust folks to stand with Hilary.
“Fair to say, this is not your typical election”, Obama said.
Yet this touchstone presidential moment has been a decade or more in the making. There was an enervating tension in Denver eight years ago, a hangover from a long and often bitter campaign, until the Democratic women’s advocacy group Emily’s List brought Clinton and Michelle Obama together for a celebration. Biden said that Trump “betrays our values” and makes it harder for the United States to defeat Islamic State militants.
Clinton waged another hard-fought primary battle this year, beating off an unexpectedly strong challenge from the left by Sanders, a United States senator from Vermont.
A handful of diehard Sanders delegates fumed over their candidate’s defeat, but they were drowned out by ecstatic Hillary Clinton supporters.
But so far in the campaign, Obama’s most potent role has been as a foil to Trump.
Early Wednesday he told NBC that while “anything is possible” when it came to November’s election, Trump appeared unprepared. So as for them, I say let them – maybe we didn’t feel all that highly about the Clinton people either, although we generally considered it more important to point out the shortcomings in Clinton’s actual political ideas and history. His career helped Hillary Clinton create her own opportunities.
“If they’re willing to walk out, willing to vote a third party, if they’re willing to vote for anyone who is not Hillary, they’re essentially voting for Donald Trump”, countered Clinton delegate Natalie Bonanno. I fought against Clinton care, which would have been worse than Obamacare.
The Republican nominee caused howls of outrage Wednesday, with a reference to thousands of Clinton emails held on a private server that were deleted.
But none of those disputes have been on display between the two campaigns this week, as they have attempted to join forces, even after DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned amid an email scandal that proved a bias for Clinton during the primary and revealed internal deliberations over how to undermine Sanders’ candidacy.
“This has gone from being a matter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue”.
Obama has already tried to convince voters that Trump does not have the judgment or demeanor to be commander-in-chief.

President Bill Clinton painted a picture on Tuesday night of Hillary Clinton as a tireless advocate for justice and those in need during the second night of the Democratic National Convention. We somewhat saw this with President Obama.
