Democrats make Hillary Clinton historic nominee
And he attempted to align her with the public demand for change that, from a dramatically different direction, has propelled the candidacy of her Republican opponent Donald Trump.

During Clinton’s nominating speech, Trump blasted supporters with 15 anti-Clinton emails – most arguing she embraces free trade, open borders and special interest groups. Trump was referring to emails between DNC officials that, in part, showed they weren’t too fond of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. The shoot-from-the-hip billionaire believes he can make headway in those states with blue-collar white men, a demographic that has eluded Clinton and was unlikely to be swayed by a convention that heavily celebrated racial and gender diversity.
Clinton has been dogged by scandal after scandal over her three decades in politics.
Obama’s speech built on this foundation. What are we offering?
Really, it might be that the things Clinton is good at are just not the things that make a person a good politician.
Bill described how people who have worked with Hillary “know her to be able, straightforward and completely trustworthy”. Only about one-in-ten registered voters (12%) say the fact that Clinton is a woman will hurt her this fall. And on Thursday, she acknowledged it. “So I can see what he’s doing is not, I don’t think he is saying she is going to exactly do that, I think he’s saying she better do that”, Silva said. However, in the general election, when the choices are narrowed, the stakes are much bigger.
In a gesture of party unity, Sanders put forward Clinton’s name on Tuesday night to make her the first woman nominated for president by a major USA party.
The Democratic convention was meticulously created to craft her image as a caring grandmother tough enough to battle terrorists and unite a party still unsettled by a fractious primary process.
Wednesday’s events in Philadelphia were aimed at contrasting the 68-year-old Clinton’s foreign policy skills with Trump’s “unsteady, unfit and risky approach”, Clinton campaign chair John Podesta said. “I think you’ll be rewarded mightily by our press!” It is with enormous pride, so I cast my vote for Bernie Sanders. “Your cause is our cause”.
“He just had his convention, that’s a high point”, she explained.
Clinton aides dismissed the protests as little more than a few holdouts.
Speeches will focus heavily on jobs; the speakers list includes Henrietta Ivey, advocating for a $15 minimum wage, OH resident Beth Mathias, who works two jobs, and Jensen Walcott, who was sacked from her job when she asked why coworker and friend Jake Reed, who’ll speak alongside her, earned more for the same position. Clinton’s campaign said two members of law enforcement also are on the convention schedule.
Campaign insiders said the former first lady also planned to use her speech, watched by tens of millions on television, to “reintroduce” herself to the nation.
Throughout the convention, Democrats tried to convey the stakes of the election not only to Sanders backers but Republicans concerned about Trump’s bombastic tone and foreign policy positions.
Speakers on Wednesday assailed Mr Trump.
Democratic leaders have sought to tamp down lingering bitterness among some die-hard Sanders supporters, and move past unruly displays of dissent that marked the convention’s first day on Monday. “The America I know is decent and generous”.

While the 2013 Pew Research Center study on American Jewry showed that 70 percent of American Jews identify themselves as Democrats or leaning Democratic and only 22 percent, some Jewish voters have expressed an interest in voting for Donald Trump, who even received standing ovations during his speech at AIPAC in March.
