The deadline for Texans to register to vote in the November 8 presidential election is October 11.

The last day to register to vote for the Presidential Election is Oct.17. Secretary Simon is challenging the people of Minnesota and the thousands of nonprofits and businesses across the state to return our state back to number one. A vote by them at this juncture may prove to be an ill-informed vote at best, a no-vote at worst.

This will be the first year all Minnesotans have the option of voting absentee in a Presidential race.

And in OH, election officials reported Monday that more than 524,000 voters had submitted absentee ballot applications.

Four years ago, about 45.6 million people or 35 percent of the electorate, voted early.

The work for Minnesota’s Democratic party started months ago, as hundreds of staffers scattered across the state began contacting infrequent voters to convince them to register for an absentee ballot.

It is important that organizations conducting voter registration drives through the mail ensure that their voter data is up-to-date and accurate. You can go online to fill in the FWAB at www.fvap.gov and use the FWAB Wizard that will help you complete the process step-by-step, even filling in your candidate choices based on your State of residence.

Facebook wants you to get out to vote.

Office hours and locations for in-person absentee voting vary by locality and are available at vote.virginia.gov.

In most cases, you must register at least 15 days before Election Day to be eligible to vote. There’s a list on the Secretary of State’s website.

Acceptable documents include a valid Idaho driver’s license or photo I.D. card with an address in the county you are attempting to vote in or any document containing a valid address that shows your name along with photo identification. Some Minnesotans may also be voting for their local County Commissioner, Soil and Water Supervisor, City Officers, School Board Members, Township Officers, or local ballot questions. For others, Election Day will still be the final moment to cast a ballot after taking in all the information available through the fall.
