Dems get serious about dumping Wasserman Schultz – she’s crossed the line

On Fox & Friends Wednesday, Weaver said, “I do feel certainly that the process has not been fair as administered by Debbie Wasserman Schultz”. Despite the fact that Hillary Clinton is about 90 delegates shy of clinching the Democratic nomination, Sanders said in a statement on Monday that she “may want to be not quite so presumptuous about thinking that she is a certain winner” because voters in certain states “have suggested otherwise”.

Supporters of the Vermont senator almost rioted at the convention when they were outflanked by supporters of front-runner Hillary Clinton.

Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign requested a recanvass in Kentucky’s presidential primary Tuesday, where he trails Hillary Clinton by less than one-half of 1 percent of the vote. “I strongly believe that”, said Tim Kaine, a Virginia Democrat who has been floated as a running mate for Clinton.

Pelosi, D-Calif., seemed to choose her words carefully when reporters questioned her about Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who is also a Florida congresswoman.

“There have been a lot of meetings over the past 48 hours about what color plate do we deliver Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s head on”, said a pro-Clinton Democratic senator to The Hill. How can she open the convention? Due to the sensitive nature of the story, many Democratic members of Congress have not spoken out publicly over their thoughts on the situation, but if the heat continues, a change could be made.

The people calling for her resignation feel that the present DNC Chairwoman claim that she is biased towards Clinton and the superdelegate system has been rigged against Sanders.

“She’s going to continue to focus on uniting Democrats and on being an asset to help elect them up and down the ballot in November, just as she’s done for many in both chambers”, DNC communications director Luis Miranda told the Hill.

Less than two months before its convention in Philadelphia, Democrats are considering giving the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) chairwoman the boot.

Still, Wasserman Schultz has her supporters. But Democrats huddling to discuss her political influences may not care.

“Unity in the party would be much easier to achieve if we had a consensus chair who was committed to playing the traditional role that chairs of parties play”, Weaver added, saying that Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus has done a much better job of forging party unity on his side.

Sanders’ five representatives on the committee include U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota and racial justice activist Cornel West. Clinton picked five members besides Reece, including U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez of IL.
