Denis Cheryshev – a name you’ll probably have heard plenty about lately – has completed a loan switch to Valencia from Real Madrid.
Valencia have confirmed the signing of Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev on loan until the end of the season.
“Cheryshev will undergo a medical on Tuesday, February 2nd at 9:30am, alongside the club’s official medical partner Divina Pastora Seguros at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna”.
The Russia worldwide has been linked with Liverpool over the course of the last 24 hours, but it’s understood that the Reds have no interest in him.
He has had loan stints at La Liga rivals Sevilla and Villarreal but has not been able to establish a regular place in Real’s first team.
Cheryshev scored four goals and contributed nine assists on loan at Villarreal in the 2014-15 campaign to bring himself to the attention of Liverpool.
“If he is offered the chance to leave, I’d be delighted for him”.
He made headlines back in December after being fielded in a Copa del Rey clash against Cadiz, despite being ineligible, in a move that eventually got Real expelled from the competition, per ESPN FC’s Dermot Corrigan.
