Dennis Rodman calls hit-run claim hearsay

SANTA ANA, CA- California Highway Patrol officers are asking prosecutors to charge NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman with felony hit-and-run for allegedly fleeing the scene of a wrong-way crash on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway. “There was no wreck, there was no injuries, there was no nothing, so I guess it’s going on hearsay”, said Rodman.

Officer Florentino Olivera told The Orange County Register on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, the agency recommends Orange County prosecutors charge Rodman with felony hit-and-run and driving the wrong way on a freeway. After the BMW crashed, CHP said Rodman drove back to their location and had a brief conversation with driver and the passenger before driving off.

According to TMZ, investigators believe after speaking to witnesses that Rodman was driving a white SUV that struck another auto at around 12:30 a.m. on July 20 in Santa Ana, Calif.

Reports say a BMW narrowly averted a head-on collision with a SUV traveling north in a southbound lane.
