The Broncos are looking for additional help at defensive end after losing Vance Walker to a torn ACL.

Melton has reportedly signed a one-year deal with the Broncos, and posted a photo of himself signing the contract on his Instagram account Sunday.

Melton, who was selected in the fourth round by the Chicago Bears back in 2009, spent his first five seasons in Chicago, starting 32 games and earning a trip to the Pro Bowl in 2012.

At 6-foot-3, 310-pounds, Melton could be a strong fit at defensive end in Denver’s 3-4 defensive scheme.

Melton collected 131 tackles, 22.5 sacks and six fumble recoveries in seven seasons with Chicago, Dallas and Tampa Bay.

Last season with the Buccaneers, he recorded 30 combined tackles, two sacks, two passes defended, and a forced fumble. He played in two preseason games with the Broncos and was listed as the third-string left guard on the team’s most recent depth chart.
