Denver Broncos’ Von Miller picks up where he left off

Coach Gary Kubiak announced on Monday that Ware has chose to undergo surgery on the ulna fracture that he suffered in his arm right forearm during the Broncos’ win over the Colts on Sunday. Early in the second half, Ware converged on Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and collided with teammate Von Miller.

Broncos linebacker DeMarcus Ware posted an update on Facebook saying his surgery, which was needed Tuesday after fracturing his arm, “was a success”.

As a nod to Ray’s rise and Ware’s health and age, the Broncos elevated Ray to the starting job opposite Miller this season.

“I think they’ll cast him and he’ll play”, Wolfe said. Unfortunately he was not able to return to the game and the Broncos quickly announced that he would not be back.

The half sack moved Ware into sole possession of ninth on the all-time sacks list, breaking a tie with Julius Peppers and the retired Jared Allen, who each have 136 sacks.

After the game, head coach Gary Kubiak did not have much to update about Stephenson or the other injuries. I think we feel fortunate with Donald, so hopefully we’ll get better news day-to-day as he tries to make his way back.

Miller befuddled the Colts’ offensive linemen with three sacks Sunday, tying a career high that he reached twice in 2012. Harris reiterated the bigger picture is having a healthy Ware later on. “But Shaq (Barrett) and Shane, they came in and played great. But at the end, as long as we’ve got him coming at 100 percent at the end of the season, that’s the main thing”.

Stephenson suffered a calf injury against the Indianapolis Colts in week two, and had been playing really well in his first couple of games for the Broncos.
