WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has revealed that he would be willing to cross the Atlantic for a unification fight against Tyson Fury.

Canny Londoner Haye timed his return to boxing with the week of Fury’s magnificent victory over long-reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday – a move which Fury claims he has seen right through.
Fury brought Klitschko’s nine-year reign as heavyweight king to an end on Saturday in one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.
Klitschko hadn’t been beaten in almost 10 years before he was outsmarted by Fury and lost his WBA, IBF and WBO belts in a unanimous decision.
At the beginning of fight night, Fury stepped on the ring in the Esprit Arena for the first time – only to discover that his foot sank deep in to the canvas.
With Wladimir Klitschko now out of the way, Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) is licking his chops at the idea of fighting new IBF/IBO/WBA/WBA heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) to relieve him of his titles.
But the unbeaten Fury – 12 years Klitschko’s junior – made the older man look ordinary at the 55,000-seat soccer stadium in Duesseldorf, as the Briton lived up to the promises that few had taken seriously beforehand. “There were all these little things they thought might affect me, as it has with fighters in the past”.
Keep in mind, Fury isn’t one to hold back his opinions, particularly about his opponents.
Celebrating at the fight (Sebastian Konopka/PA) “I’m not interested in buying nice stuff any more”. I’ve had a full six months of it. It’s like winning the lottery and still buying lottery tickets – I’m not bothered. I’m still going to go home in an old Land Rover and go to bed.
Fury has always championed his Irish background and admitted that missing out on the chance to represent Ireland at the 2008 Olympics was a hard time for his family, and ultimately cost the country a gold medal. “Let’s laugh at his name, shall we?” said Tyson. Wladimir Klitschko was the number one in the division.
“I’m not prepared to talk about future venues and future fights and boxing because I’m not thinking about that at the minute”.
At his homecoming event in Bolton (Simon Cooper/PA) “I say it as it is. I don’t hate you, but I want to destroy you and your career”.
