The Bengals will be without running back Giovani Bernard for the rest of the season after he tore his ACL in Cincinnati’s Week 11 loss to the Buffalo Bills, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. He did make some plays with his legs, rushing for 39 yards, and had a 3-yard touchdown run nullified by a holding penalty against guard Richie Incognito.

Cincinnati’s Mike Nugent had an extra-point attempt hit the right upright, preventing the Bengals from tying their game with Buffalo.

Xavier Rhodes took back one of his two interceptions 100 yards for a touchdown and Cordarrelle Patterson returned the second-half kickoff 104 yards for a score in Minnesota’s 30-24 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, helping the Vikings stop their four-game losing streak.

“He’s our leader and the best playmaker we have”, said running back Jeremy Hill. He completed 19-of-27 for 166 yards and threw an very bad pick near the Bengals end zone which cost the Bills at least three points and possibly seven. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll afterward described it as a scapula injury, and lamented that Prosise is “going to be out for a while”. Green limped off the field before being carted off to the locker room and didn’t return.

Bengals: They play a pivotal AFC North game at Baltimore. “When you lose him, it definitely hurts the team”. I didn’t think they would suffer from one ailment after the next. A surprise performer for the Bills was former Bengal receiver Brandon Tate who led the way for the Bills with two receptions for 48-yards and the biggest play of the day a 34-yard reception. It was also the first time they got blanked in the second half since the Texans knocked them from the ranks of the unbeaten almost a year to the day in the 10-6 loss at PBS on November 16. They started at their own 15-yard line and were able to drive to the Buffalo 27, but down four points, they needed a touchdown, and couldn’t get it.

Mike Nugent missed a pair of extra-point attempts as Cincinnati (3-6-1) has lost three straight to further derail its playoff hopes.

If Nugent had made both kicks, the score could have potentially been 16-14, and a field goal could have given the Bengals their first win since they beat Cleveland on October 23. “That’s the second time that’s happened this year, that I’ve contributed enormously to a loss”. “You look at it: We were kind of two teams teetering on the brink”.
