The officer’s dashcam video revealed what happened next. The officer held on to Fox for a moment in the car’s doorway before he fell to the ground and the car’s back left wheel ran over his legs.

Video appears to show her put the vehicle in gear and try to drive away. As she does, she drags Lofton beside the auto for several yards before running over both of his legs.
“I wasn’t sure she ran over this leg”. I knew for sure she ran over this leg, because I felt it, and I heard, ‘Thump, thump.
Lofton was able to get up and call for help. The officer was taken to the hospital with a torn achilles tendon and a concussion, according to local reports.
In the video, Lofton uses his Taser on the woman, who screams and then drives off with Lofton holding on to the side of the vehicle. Statham police said Fox was arrested Tuesday morning. © 2016 Cox Media Group.
The Statham chief said he requested assistance from the BCSO due to that department having more resources and due to the high emotions involved. He went on to say Lofton would have been justified in using deadly force but praised him for choosing not to do so.
Lofton thanks God for getting him back home to his two children. It wasn’t my time.
“I, along with the guys at Statham Police Department and the entire City of Statham, are greatly appreciative of the hard work and dedication of resources put forth by the Barrow Sheriffs Office to bring this nightmare to a conclusion”, said Statham Police Chief Allan Johnston.

Fox was later caught and is in now facing charges including assault of an officer. She is expected to make her first court appearance Wednesday.
